Abstract

PURPOSE: Genomic stability is maitained by DNA damage response pathway, and Wip1 plays a important role in DNA damage response through inhibiting several cell cycle protein including p53. Although Wip1 gene amplification was reported in various primary tumors including lung cancer, the biologic significance of its protein expression on patient survival remains unclear in primary lung tumor. We investigated whether Wip1 expression in tumor tissues influenced outcome in these patients.
