Abstract

Fractures of the distal radius in young adults are not uncommon, but have received little attention in the literature. This paper reports a series of 40 fractures of the distal radius. The quality of reduction was found to relate directly to the final result. The authors suggest that open reduction and internal fixation be used more frequently in the management of this fracture.
