Abstract

This handbook, written by one of the most highly respected professors of radiology in the country, reflects many years of practical experience. There are numerous drawings and graphic x-ray reproductions with well-marked details. As the author states, this book, directed at the radiographer, should be used as the starting point for the roentgenographic examination of the bony structure. However, it would also serve as a good reference for the hospital house staff who find themselves on occasion faced with bone problems. Several technical points are made, but not belabored, since such information is readily available in other texts. While the present volume could be criticized as either too superficial or too technical, depending on the point of view, for the occasional radiographer it would seem to be well organized, and to present fundamentals.
