Abstract

Throughout Chinese history, women had been excluded from education for a long time. They had little chance to learn Chinese characters, the basic form of the Chinese language. This, however, has had a significant influence on the development of a unique form of feminism a feminist movement characterized by the creation of Chinese literature written in script called Nshu. Jiangyong Nshu remains the only writing system in the world created by and exclusively by women. This unique literary style has gained the attention scholars and has been referred to as a discovery that has important research value in many disciplines, such as philology, linguistics, culture, history, archaeology, folklore and folk culture.
