Abstract

The formation of the presolar nebula, of the sun, and of the preplanetary disk, the evolution of the disk, and the formation of the planets are the topics considered in this chapter. Main attention is paid to the processes of formation of the terrestrial planets. The initial state and early evolution and differentiation of the planets is discussed. Present-day models lead to the conclusion that differentiation began during the formation of the planets.
