Abstract

The Organic and Biological Electrochemistry Division (O&BE) celebrated its 60th anniversary as a Division of The Electrochemical Society in the year 2000. The Division was originally called the Electro-Organic Division and was renamed the Organic and Biological Electrochemistry Division in 1972 to reflect the growing interest of its members in bioelectrochemistry and the increasing importance of this field of research and applications.
