Abstract

Oregon, having a large number of small high schools, has for many years worked toward promoting high standards and toward solving the special problems characteristic of small schools. But in 1965, the Oregon Board of Education initiated the Oregon Small Schools Program (OSSP) to provide particular encour agement and guidance to any small high school seeking evaluation and improvement. This paper is a presentation of that Program's objectives, activities, and outcomes.
