Abstract

Variations in the tritium isotope effects in the radical addition of R1SH to R2R3CCH2 are interpreted in terms of the transition state symmetry, measured by the difference in bond strengths to hydrogen in the initial state (R1S–H) and the final state (H–CR2R3CH2SR1).
