Abstract

To rationally divide the peak interval of public transport passenger flow in order to calculate the size of bus passenger flow peak is of great significance for the establishment and optimization of a public transport scheduling plan. The authors set up a top-down algorithm to optimize bus passenger flow peak in this paper and let full-time public transport passenger flow values be sorted in chronological order, to merge grade the similar passenger flow on the adjacent time slots, create a regression equation of public transport passenger flow under different grading circumstances, and get the fitting passenger flow value of every passenger class by calculation, at the same time optimizing the number of peaks and the peak interval of the whole day public transport passenger flow. The algorithm is applied to the scheduling management of No. 16 bus of Chengdu in this paper. The results show that the method can be effectively applied for the establishment and optimization of the bus line scheduling plan.
