Abstract

The optimal geometries of phase matching are determined for frequently used uniaxial non-linear optical crystals - KDP, KD*P, ADP, CLBO, AgGaS 2 , AgGaSe 2 , GaSe, LiIO 3 , LiNbO 3 , BBO. Particularly, in the case of vector phase matching the directions of wave vectors ensuring the highest possible efficiency of second harmonic generation are defined by the extreme surfaces method. As it is shown, in most cases vector phase matching ensures higher efficiencies than the scalar one.
