Abstract

By combining various optical experiments conducted in a broad spectral range we identify several distinct resonances in the CDW state of K 0.3MoO 3 and (TaSe 4) 2I. Resonances due to the internal mode dynamics, and the oscillatory response of the collective mode are identified. A third resonance, in the infrared spectral range, cannot be explained by various models and remains unassigned.
