The Operational Management Model for the Provision of Rural Drinking Water in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province

Abstract

For the problems of "emphasizing construction over management" and the lack of long-term management mechanism of rural drinking water projects in China, this paper investigated and analyzed the management mode of rural water supply projects in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, and summarized the project operation and management experience from the aspects of project construction, water quality assurance, water price pricing and water fee collection, "digital" platform construction, supervision and management. It provides case experience for the construction plan, operation and implementation management of village and town water supply projects in other cities and regions,which would be beneficial for studying the long-term operation management mechanism of rural drinking water safety projects in China.
