Abstract

In this issue of The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Bibevski and colleagues1 present an interesting report on their single-center experience with management of right anomalous aortic origin of a coronary artery (AAOCA). Interestingly, the authors present an algorithm for intervention based on anatomic characteristics to guide choice of surgical technique. With this approach, excellent outcomes in the 26 surgical patients are reported. The outcomes of the medically managed group, however, are not presented.
