Abstract
A review of the OSIRIS isotope-separator-on-line facility is given describing, in particular, the integrated target-ion source system, the rapid chemical separation techniques, and the study of the delay between the production and the measurement of the nuclides. The experimental programme for OSIRIS is also briefly sketched.
