Abstract
Victor B. Scheffer (1993b) recently outlined his views on the controversy regarding the modern descendants of mountain goats (Oreamnos americanus) transplanted to the Olympic Mountains of Washington state in 1925. His comments are largely directed toward the veracity and utility of data mustered by the Fund for Animals in their argument for allowing the goats to remain, and they have responded directly to those comments (Anunsen & Anunsen 1993).
