Abstract

The occurrence of acetylcholine in the two-spotted mite has been demonstrated. By paper chromatography, paper electrophoresis, pharmacological bioassay, and by its reaction with hydroxylamine-ferric chloride it has been established that the biologically active substance found occurring in the mites is identical with acetylcholine itself.
