Abstract

The nucleon coupling constant with the axial isoscalar current entering the Bjorken sum rule for the deep-inelastic scattering of polarized electrons on a polarized target is calculated in nonperturbative QCD. The result, g A s ≈0.5, is about a factor of two smaller as compared to that of the SU(6) symmetric quark model.
