Abstract
The nuclear structure facility at the University of São Paulo is described. Some of the problems that have arisen with the pelletron accelerators are discussed and a summary of operational experience with these accelerators is given. The performance of the 8UD accelerator is described in more detail with particular attention to the acceleration tube behavior.
