Abstract

In the radar tracking and positioning system, an antenna is required to accurately detect the location of the target. A new mono-pulse antenna and comparator network with a cross-shaped microstrip structure are proposed, and the microstrip mono-pulse array antenna is successfully designed and processed with this network. The antenna array consists of 4 8x6 microstrip antenna sub-arrays. The sum and difference network and the antenna array are in the same plane, so it has the advantages of compact structure, good stability, convenient processing and low cost. According to the actual measurement results, the sum and difference patterns in the horizontal and vertical directions are in good agreement with theoretical predictions, indicating that the designed antenna can improve the accuracy and stability of the radar tracking and positioning system.
