Abstract

In his various studies on the Ephemeroptera of the world, Eaton described and named thirty-one species of North and Central American ephemerids. The types of all but seven of these species are in the McLachlan collection. This extremely important ephemeropteran collection has been acquired recently by the British Museum (Natural History), where I was able during the summer of 1939 to study Eaton's North and Central American series[1][1].
