Abstract

The new provisions on the non-preferential certification of origin came into force in Argentina in December 2018, leaving behind a long-standing provision that for over twenty years ruled the requirements and conditions for the admissibility of such certification. The new origin certification provides for a paperless administration, attempting to simplify the import procedure and make it faster. However, its current regulation maintains certain problems that arose out of the previous one and which had seemed to be solved after several rulings issued by the Argentine courts.
