Abstract
The O( N)-symmetric non-linear σ-model is expanded in 1/ N, keeping terms of ▪(1) and ▪(1/ N). The Feynman diagrams giving the mass gap and the magnetic susceptibility are evaluated on two-dimensional, square lattices. Our results approximate Monte Carlo results very well for all values of the inverse coupling β.
