Abstract
An Nb-deficient region of the Nb-Ga-Ir ternary system (containing less than 50 at.% Nb) has been investigated by X-ray diffraction and electron microprobe techniques. The isothermal section at 1000 °C was determined. Six intermediate phases were identified; preliminary crystallographic data are given for some of them.
