Abstract
IT IS my pleasure to welcome you to the new look eye. After six years we have decided to freshen things up and I am delighted with the results (I even get a new photo!). I hope you fi nd the new format to your liking. Of course, the most important element of any magazine is the content, a fact that has been central to the re-design process. Th erefore, there are a number of sections that have been retired, for the time being, and a number of new sections that I believe bring eye closer to its originals intentions and philosophy.
