Abstract
The article focuses on the contemporary situation of the Catholic Church in the People´s Republic of China. It analyses the new regulation on religion introduced by the Chinese government in recent years (published in 2017, enforced in 2018). The regulation promotes more control of religions and a new policy of sinicisation (Chinecisation; zhongguohua).
