Abstract
The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) announced the re-instatement of the title of Queen’s Nurse in January 2007, nearly 40 years after it was last awarded to nurses who trained at the Institute. This article explains why we chose to take this step, and what is involved in becoming a new Queen’s Nurse.
