AbstractIn the present postsecondary environment, where the variety and number of faculty ineligible for tenure is dramatically increasing, this chapter discusses the importance of maintaining a satisfaction threshold for nontenured faculty and examines reverberations for students, institutions, as well as those in the tenured ranks.
