Abstract

Malignant tumors constitute an enormous burden on society in more and less economically developed countries alike. The occurrence of malignant tumors is increasing along with the aging of the population and lifestyle changes. Every year, 8.2 million patients died of malignant tumors in worldwide, in which about 90% patients died of malignant tumors associated organ metastasis. The formation of cancer nest is a key event in tumor metastasis and the present paper summaries the new development of malignant tumor metastasis research based on the classical theory and provides an even deeper understanding of tumor metastasis.
