Abstract
Disabled individuals are living in society. They have different problems, social exclusion and handicaps. There are different approaches to the disabled individuals within historical process. Disability is seen as a biological illness in the genetic approach. On the other hand in the social approach environmental factors are more important than genetic ilness. Mental disabled indivuduals need education and support studies to adoptation skills, support studies to increasing self-esteem level, social environment in order to relation with peer group and social development. The needs of the family who have mentally disabled individuals are social and psychological support, economic needs needs of information and planning the future for mentally disabled individuals. Key Words: Individuals with mentally disabled, needs of who have mentally disabled individuals, needs of family who have mentally disabled individuals.
