Abstract

There is a need for an innovative programme of stakeholder and public involvement in the formulation and periodic review of energy policy. This is essential for securing the level of public support that will be required for a transition to a low carbon economy. More specifically, if Government wants new nuclear power stations to be part of this economy, it must first ensure that new build has widespread public support.
