Abstract
This paper argues in favor of developing a qualitative approach which would combine observations of procedures of control, interviews and testimonies of passengers in order better to understand reasons, purposes, needs, difficulties and actual conditions associated with mobility and the crossing of Palestinians between the occupied West Bank and Jordan. Such an approach will enable the stakeholders to highlight the importance of mobility in the economy of Palestinian families that are divided between branches in the West and East Banks. Observations and interviews will contribute towards a more precise analysis of the border system.
