Abstract
A quarklike model of the muon based upon the Thomson formula for the electron is correlated with a recent account of the muong-factor and shown to determine the muon-electron mass ratio. The theory indicates that this is 206.7687, in close accord with its measured value. The model involves a resonance governed by the period at which a disturbance propagates around the electron charge, the radius of which is the same as that of the de Sitter microuniverse model of the electron suggested by Caldirola.
