Abstract

A piezoelectric oscillator, suspended with an elastic rod on a string, moves along this string due to the simultaneous excitation of the longitudinal and transverse oscillations in a rod possessing a residual curvature. Devices comprising a piezoelectric oscillator and a beam waveguide have been created and studied. Such systems are prototypes of piezoelectric motors of a new type capable of performing reversible two-way motion.
