Abstract

Abstract In an examination of the amounts of phosphorus extracted by 0.005M H2SO4 from two basaltic soils in tropical north Queensland one krasnozem and one euchrozem, evidence is presented suggesting that in the former, only specifically adsorbed phosphorus was extracted whereas in the latter there was also a fraction which could be extracted with neutral salt solution or water.
