Abstract

The environment of modern city is mostly defined by the features and specific character of the urban landscape organizing. The most advanced variant is to form polarized landscape being of special environmental importance for a city. The system of functionally and planned link-up naturals territories is basic. Protected naturals territories - natural and cultural legacy places, and reserve zones - are the basic parts in the system of the urban natural territories. They provide stability and functional effectiveness to this system. Organizing network of the protected naturals territories gives the greatest positive effect. This network includes the different kinds of such territories with different functions and using modes. Nature monuments are the most worth-while kind of urban protected natural territories. Object declarated as nature monument requires no confiscating a land from land-user, no establishing a protected mode of security, no restricting a recreation usage etc. At the same time, a valuable object of natural and cultural legacy is out of direct economic usage. All activities on this object are strictly regulated, it is provided with the legal status and physical safe. If needs the extension of nature monuments network is able by declarating the valuable, in social and cultural sense, natural objects as nature monuments. The nature monuments become the centers of ecological stillness in the urban system of polarized landscape. Another sections of the system - buffering, recreative, linking are forming around them. Nature monuments are the most probable objects to be a basis for forming the system of nature reserve territories in modern cities. On the other hand, it'll be the system of nature reserve territories that could provide its real protecting as natural and cultural legacy objects.
