Abstract
Founded in 1983 for the junior-high-school earth-science teacher, the National Earth Science Teachers Association (NESTA) has grown to over 1000 members in all 50 states and some foreign countries. NESTA sponsors sessions at National Science Teachers Association meetings, publishes a quarterly journal, and promotes junior-high-school earth-science education through other activities.
