Abstract

IThe article proposes an approach to teaching the Bible that reflects the conviction, substantiated in the pioneering work of Findley Edge and others, of the need for an experiential approach to Christian education combined with the principles and concepts outlined in David Kolb's experiential theory of learning and development. The Experiential Bible Study model involves four successive movements: personal experience, biblical exegesis, critical reflection and hands-on application.
