Abstract
Julie Kane is assistant professor of English at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Her most recent book is Rhythm & Booze(2003), selected by Maxine Kumin as a winner in the National Poetry Series. She is associate editor for twentieth-century poetry of the forthcoming Longman anthology of southern literature, Voices of the American South.
