Abstract

AbstractThis article treats the solution of evolutionary equations based on two plastic intermediate configurations which arise in large plastic deformations within the finite element context. For this purpose high order time integration methods, diagonallyimplicit Runge‐Kutta methods (DIRK), in combination with the Multilevel‐Newton algorithm (MLNA) are used. To preserve plastic incompressibility a projection method is applied and its influence is studied. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
