Abstract

In this chapter, we will apply particular focus upon the first two extremes presented in the introduction directly and indirectly involving coastal land loss in Louisiana, the extreme physical dynamics, through the processes of the formation of land and the loss of land, and the extreme influence of human activities on the loss (as well as on the formation), some of which is neither immediate nor equally intense in all places.
