Abstract

The paper presents a near-field far-field transformation (NFFFT) method based on multilevel plane wave decomposition. An iterative algorithm conjugate gradient (CG) is used to solve the implicit equation. The near-field measurement space is organized in octree hierarchical style and multilevel fast multipole method is employed. The algorithm complexity is the same as fast Fourier transformation (FFT). The presented method has many advantages. No frequency sweep is needed in the method; single frequency measurement is enough. No large facilities like turntable is needed, the method support arbitrary sampling. Numerical example is shown in the end of the paper to prove the precision.
