Abstract

The IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) Inter-Society Committee is one of the standing committees in the MTT-S Administrative Committee (AdCom), whose objectives, functions, and activities were well described in an early write-up by former Chair Dr. Steven C. Reising <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref1" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">[1]</xref> . This article informs readers about the committee’s current organization and its emerging activities. The Inter-Society Committee’s work and operations are fundamentally guided and bounded by the well-defined visions and core values in the MTT-S strategic plan to create “an open, welcoming, collaborative, multidisciplinary community; worthy of local and global volunteerism,” to increase collaboration with both IEEE and non-IEEE organizations, and to increasingly and actively engage the global microwaves community in our Society.
