Abstract

SummaryIn the group of prooestrus rats examined the fluid which collected in the uterine lumen contained a high concentration of potassium ions.It was shown that during prooestrus and oestrus the potassium ions in the luminal fluid penetrate the endometrial mucosa and enter the uterine wall. The maximum amount of endometrial or myometrial potassium ions, derived from the luminal fluid, occurred during late prooestrus.
