Abstract

AbstractThe two dimensional motion of an infinite cylinder is discussed in a rotating non‐Newtonian liquid by introducing second order terms in the stress‐strain velocity relations of classical hydrodynamics. It is shown here that Taylor's result for an inviscid liquid are not effected even if viscosity and cross‐viscosity are taken into consideration.
