Abstract

Glioblastoma is the most devastating form of glial tumor. To tackle how the interplay between intra-tumoral heterogeneity and diffuse infiltration drives tumor invasion, we surveyed the methodologies predominantly employed to dissect glioblastoma migration in vitro. Here, we propose tumor-sphere spreading on a laminin grid micropattern as a biomimetic mimicry of (1) the gradual diffusion in the brain and (2) the motility modes observed along Scherer's structures. Through a set of semi-automated tools, we assessed the glioblastoma motility landscape from a set of human glioblastoma propagating cells (hGPCs).
