Abstract
Abstract: This essay explores themes of mental health, intergenerational trauma, and the limits of one’s control over their own body. The work relies primarily on personal narrative, but also includes discussion of different theories surrounding peppered moth populations in England. The primary work cited in the essay’s discussion of moths is Judith Hopper’s Of Moths and Men: An Evolutionary Tale.
