Abstract

ABSTRACT From the time of their establishment to the outbreak of World War II, resorts on the territory of modern Ukraine and Poland were frequented by substantial segments of those countries’ Jewish populations. The recreational activity of Jewish patients and the investments of Jewish entrepreneurs made a significant contribution to the development of resort infrastructure on the territory of present-day Ukraine. This study examines the spa resort of Morshyn, one of Ukraine’s five leading health resorts and is the result of many years of research carried out by the authors.
