Abstract
This article aims to investigate the determinants of the Intention to Use (IU) the Moodle Distance Learning Platform (MDLP) of the Virtual University of Tunis during the total containment period (since march 2020) and its Continuance Usage Intention (CUI) in the future by public Tunisian university teachers. Technology Acceptance Model and Expectation Confirmation Theory were used as base models to elaborate the research model. Then, data were collected by questionnaires from 270 university teachers. Data analysis was performed through PLS-SEM approach. Results show the relevance of the developed model. They revealed the teachers’ awareness about the necessary evolution towards innovative teaching methods, which will encourage the Ministry of Higher Education and decision-makers to transform the COVID-19 pandemic into an opportunity, and seize it to enhance the experience already started and gradually generalize distance education.
