Abstract
The issue of money is a common clinical problem that has received little attention in the literature. The development of a specific focused genogram concerning money will help the clinician assess the meaning and function of money and family-of-origin patterns dealing with money. The money genogram will facilitate discussion of this issue, as clinicians are often reluctant to ask probing questions in this area and couples are reluctant to raise the issue.
