Abstract

Magnetic-modulation effects in one-dimensional graphene nanoribbon have been investigated by the Peierls tight-binding model. The energy dispersion exhibits unusual oscillatory behavior which is mainly dominated by the modulation strength, the period, and the ribbon width. The main features of energy band are directly reflected in density of states, such as the structure, the height, the position, and the number of prominent peaks.
